Neil has to come to the decision on whether or not this Exy Team is worth risking his life for. One of the members of the Exy team happens to be an old friend and he can’t leave him behind again. The lies he tells others can only withstand the strain of time and his other team members for so long, before his truths can be discovered he plans to move onto his next destination. Unfortunately, this leaves Neil at a disadvantage as he could easily be tracked down by the his father and killed if he were to discover it was him. This Exy team is often a part of live broadcasts meaning hiding from the sports news channels was an impossibility. Neil knew the risks of joining PSU Foxes but initially had no choice but to accept the offer. However, joining PSU’s Exy team takes him down an unsure path and one that lacks escape routes. After being on the run for the majority of his life, he’s used to moving from place to place on short notice. His upbringing has been far from simple as he is the son of the murderous crime lord known as ‘The Butcher’. ![]() The narrator was basic but alright. The Foxhole Court by Nora Sakavic follows the story of Neil Josten who becomes a member of Palmetto State University’s (PSU Foxes) Exy team. I am talking about Neil's future romantic interest who shall remain nameless for the shake of this spoiler free review. Not gonna lie if I didnt ship the pair I would not continue the series. But the romance potential makes me intrigued to continue the trilogy. And I also listened to the second half of the book in almost twice the reading speed, hoping to get to the good parts. Dont mistake me for a hater though, I am now on my way of purchasing the second book. The story was simple and I was expecting the romance to blossom from the first book of the trilogy however it did not. But that comes from someone who finds action sequences boring so keep that in mind. And I found the sport games so so so boring. I would even dare to compare it with a fanfiction. I did listen to the whole thing within two days. I was kind of disappointed by the story of this book. I'd sorta understand it in the sports section, or the LGBT, or whatever. I fucking loved this story, but it does not belong in the relationships and romance sections. It forces him into a constant sort of high. It induces a sort of manic euphoria that makes it hard for Andrew to keep focus, or to remain 'down' for too long. its a made up drug and the effects aren't pretty, but they are consistent. Suspend your disbelief about Andrew's drugs. ![]() This is their second chance, their third, fourth it doesn't matter, as long as its one chance more than what the rest of society has given them. Each one has a past and each one has suffered for it, it's what makes them Foxes in the first place. If you've ever been down on your luck, if you've ever had possibly the worst moments of your life happening all at once and leaving you at your version of rock bottom, you'll connect and fall in love with these characters. ![]() Despite all of the warnings, it is an amazing series. Trigger warnings pertaining to Rape, Torture, Drug and Alcohol abuse, and a couple more (Like seriously, on Tumblr there is an entire list of warnings that might keep you from reading the books) 3. This series, maybe not book 1, but definitely 2 and 3, should have a lot of warnings in them. That's more on book 3 though, so read at your own risk and know what you're getting into. ![]() There isn't anything porny, but they do end up doing things. Two of the main characters end up in a 'relationship'. On that note, I've got some warnings to pass out to those of you on the fence about this series. As someone who has owned the physical and kindle books for a good 5 or so years now, I'm going to say this: I've been waiting for the audio versions for so very long that this sorta feels like a dream.
